Trying to keep my head above water. Personally, things are a bit of a downer right now...you just have to keep pushing for sunlight.

Some people don't celebrate Halloween because they see it as a "pagan holiday"...and yes, that may be true (it does have some of its origins in secular festivals and celebrations). However, I also believe that a holiday can be what you make of it. For me, Halloween is a day to pretend. It's a day to celebrate your favorite heroes (or villains!) and to enjoy being someone other than yourself for a while.
One of these years I'm gonna plan ahead and dress up as a character I've been thinking about for a long while...
